This video shows Jupiter rotating. It spans a time frame from 2:00am to 5:30am on the morning of 6/28/09. I created the video with my Tak 130 telescope and DMK ccd camera in my back yard.

I live in Texas next to Dallas. We have light pollution just like other metro areas but I usually image Jupiter starting around 10:00pm when the traffic and other light sources have died down. Jupiter is pretty good to shoot because its so bright. I us an APO type refractor. The sharpness and clarity is hubble like when visually looking though the scope and I also use Televue PowerMate boosters to zoom in.
How do you get this from a 5 inch? Do you live far away from the cities and out in the country or something?
Thank you.
nice job!
